Hitting The Exit
The Dean Sparks Estate Sale on Hillside finished up yesterday with virtually everything going out the door. Casual conversation with some of the "shoppers" revealed at least a couple more prominent families close to posting for sale signs and leaving the lake. In a couple of cases, just like the Sparks, it involves downsizing and retirement. A natural part of turnover in a community, it seems to be picking up steam in WL.

We have lived at this lake nearly three decades. In the next five to seven years we will have no choice but to sell and downsize. Our house is simply too big. I understood the pros and cons of the previously proposed patio homes. Wished we had such an alternative to move to. But generations come and go and we accept the nature of our lake. Weatherby Lake will always be home.
