Part of the monthly discussion is Finance. Information distributed at the meeting indicates about $159,000 has been raised for construction of the Entrance Monuments. As of the 3rd, some 30 individuals, foundations, companies or families have donated to the cause. There have been some sizable donations as previously reported. Although fund raising is not complete (at least if all the monuments are to be constructed) there are some high profile names absent from the donor list...the aldermen. Although Alderman Finn has made her position known (lets call it healthy skepticism) the others have all marveled about the project and have been very supportive...at least verbally. Check in the mail? Possibly.
