- The Mayor announced the sewer rate increase from Kansas City will rise from the current $34.50 to $37.00 effective May 1.
- The BOA passed a resolution adopting the new Employee Handbook.
- Allied Waste (better known as Republic) has submitted a contract extension proposal, 3yrs at 3% increase. The BOA will consider the proposal at the next BOA.
- Mayor Botbyl has been approached by some citizens regarding "deer in our town". Some other cities in the area have initiated "deer population management" programs. The Mayor is going to reach out to the MO Dept of Conservation regarding the issue (oh dear).

The deer are one hell of a problem. They eat everything, even the plants they are not supposed to like. There are too many running around. I do believe they need to be thinned out.

I have seen as many as eight deer in one pack out and about our city. So, 1:01, since I'm sure you don't know which one or all are eating your plants, then I assume you're advocating ALL deer entering our city limits be put down.
