I will be participating in the 75th celebration this coming Saturday.  I'll have a table along with others who will be there as part of the displays for Business and Hobbies...mine, of course, will be what has turned out to be a hobby...blogging.  Come say hello, meet the recluse blogger in chief (me) and help edit or be part of my next post.  I will bring my Sharpie to provide autographs (free).  I might even wear a grass skirt and coconut bra...maybe.  Pray for good weather.

Big Bang

If you were one of the twenty or so boats on the water last night after dark, you got to view a fireworks display, presumably The National.  Nice night, enjoyable display, a treat compliments of our neighbors.  They must not have the $ problems WL encountered this year as far as donations are concerned.  Makes you wonder if our next 4th of July display will have to be pared back from the program this year.

Although not on the agenda or slated for a committee report, I expect either Jerry or Vic will give an update of the monuments and fund raising.

Farmer John reported 2.08" of rain with our most recent rain event.  Everything needed it right?  Usually I can tell by the lake level if we have had significant rain...not this time.

Just Do It

I did.  Yesterday morning I sent an email to all of the Aldermen and Mayor, asking them to not add golf carts  and similar vehicles to our streets.  Before noon I had heard from Mayor Bos and Alderman DeJong thanking me for my input, Alderman Hoy responded they will be discussing the idea at the next BOA.  Nothing from Finn or Folkedahl yet (Folkedahl is clearly in the golf cart camp).
