Cozy, three couples, what's up with that?

Mike, weren't you told you had to be removed from a committee because your wife served on another one? Or am I misremembering?

These are responsible people in our community. Seriously doubt they are going to let Eastside/Barry sign slide into oblivion.

Although I asked the Mayor for reappointment on the Planning Commission he felt we (my wife and me) were on too many boards/commissions. When I pointed out similar situations he made a distinction between "important" boards and others. You be the judge.

OK, let's say that they don't let eastside/barry sign slide. But making Blair Road monument 3X size and $ as others to make it look like the "primary entrance to the city" is very poor strategic planning for the city. Both in terms of infrastructure and marketing.

Does anyone know why such significant emphasis was made on the Blair Road entrance?

8:04pm Doubt it. As there has been no communication other than an misc. comment that with the Barry construction that entrace was put on the back burner. Maybe the website statement from 2-3 years ago might help? It says it will incorporate:

Traffic safety qualities.... [seems to me barry & Amity is going to pose major source of traffic safety issues now]

Improve the value of property to all residents [I'm sure the Blair Road folks will thank us, not so much the rest of the lake]

And highlight the community's unique charm and natural beauty. [sorry couldn't be at the meeting, nothings posted on the website and last time I was at city hall there weren't any pictures, so my ability to comment whether it highlights our charm and natural beauty will apparently have to wait until they are built!]
