Too bad a new and important initiative like recycling was overshadowed by less important things we have seen before.
Thanks Mike for you and your family who put a lot of work in to a very important obligation for sustaining our limited resources
Save our Lake save our Planet
It is something we should worry about
Thanks, the effort is more about results than credit. We know it will be an uphill battle to get folks @ WL to change habits regarding recycling, it is a battle well worth fighting. You have captured in a simple phrase the essence, I believe, of what we all should have a focus. Maintaining and protecting our watershed is everything. Being better stewards of Mother Earth is important as well.
Our daughter Sarah asked the simple question of me, "Why don't we recycle?" I was embarassed and ashamed that I didn't have a good answer. So we began at home. We felt a responsibility to go beyond our household to others. Obviously there are families/households who have been on board way before we jumped in...but a vast majority have been/are like us.
Curb side recycling? Maybe some day.
Thanks for your comment.
Mike
