One more observation from LALA land... price of gas. Fill-up in Los Angeles cost $3.28 a gallon with the CA legislature eyeballing the opportunity to raise needed tax revenue by increasing the tax on gas even more. You would think that would lead to a SmartCar in every garage, right? Not so, matter of fact, the number of SUVs and big cars seems to be the predominant mode of transportation.
Top price paid for gas in CA? Try $4.59 a gallon on Highway 1 in Big Sur. Not much competition on the curvy road, if you need gas...you pay.
