Big deal, Mike and his two friends have nothing better to do than click on the blog.
i wish i could forward to friends. unfortunately its only negative, slant sided & twisted information. sure wish mike would put all this energy into something good instead of giving a negative spin to everything. its a shame really.
The above 2 Anon comments need to get a life. Many residents read this blog. I guess the above get all their news from Medill's shrinking publication. Way to go Mike. Keep up the great work!! You are the only person keeping a watch of our do-nothing Mayor and City Council.
Obviously last anon only gets info from this blog. Maybe you need to get a life.
My, my, aren't we all spunky today. I think we have some weeds to pick.
Are you saying the monthly newsletter is not slanted?
You can take this blog's opinion with a grain of salt or not. But there is no coverage like this in the WL newsletter. It wouldn't hurt if the mayor gave more detail in his monthly letter. Take the limited information from the WL website and this blog and you get a good idea what's going on in the community. 4:39 - for your information, have never met Mike.
Mike, your counter is a little deceiving. If a person clicks through this blog 4 or 5 times in one sitting, it takes your counter up 4 or 5 times even though it is only one person looking.
Anon 801
The counter simply counts each "hit" on the blog, not sure where the deception comes in. It is true, you could hit the refresh button 5 times and the count would go up by 5 (why would one do that?) or you could come back 5 times during the day to check comments, same result (I don't have to do that, I get a copy of each comment sent to my email).
So, I guess the number of people who read the blog is somewhere between Anon 439's guess of 3 and 50,000. The counter is more novelty than anything else. The surprise to me (sometimes) is what folks comment about...like this post...and others which slip by into the blogosphere.
You cannot argue that this blog provides more concrete facts than any other source available right now -- other than actually taking the time to attend meetings or god forbid, asking a council/board member directly.
Mike, I thank you for the service.
While I don't always agree with the aforementioned "slant", I'm a grown up and can separate fact from opinion and use it wisely to come to my own conclusions about community issues.
Thanks again.
From 8:01 Apologize Mike, "deceiving" was not the best word to use.
As I see it is fair and balanced like Fox news
