The Official Unofficial Minutes of the WL BOA
Oct 4
Alderman Finn reported the fee for participation in the Household Hazardous Waste facility has increased...Don't get too aroused, it has gone from $1 per resident to $1.07 per resident which is paid for by the City...still quite a bargain to get rid of chemicals, old gas, oil, etc.
During the Community Center Report the Mayor noted the brisk business done in September. Ms Payne, in the audience, advised the BOA of the non-functioning AV equipment which has gone on for almost a year. There have been complaints from some renters.

Think..Siphon Hydropower from the Dam to run the street lights
Our own fish hatchery at the base of the Dam fed with water and power from the turbine. Might even turn that into a nice source of revenue selling stock minnows to other Lakes.
Dunno how many KW's of power you could get with the drop on the backside of the dam and a 1/2" siphon line.. Probably could find that out in a book somewhere.
All kinds of cool things are possible....of course you have to have Liberty and Freedom to do those things...and stop spending time worrying about the wrong things. Getting our butt kicked by one guy living in the Austrian Alps. Our growing seasons and resources around here are like paradise compared to there.

There are people around here that would love to do projects like this...but are staying away from City Hall for some reason...
Staying away due to Preying Mantis syndrome
