You go fast, you might be furious.
7AM this morning.
KCMO motorcycle cop running radar, standing @ Forest and Barry.
Saw him too late to do anything.
Smile on my face.
I am in the passenger seat.
My 15 year old daughter is driving, and she follows the speed limits religiously...
So life is good.
Not so much for somebody who was pulled over on Forest getting "green stamps", driving a souped up Honda van (had to spice up the post a bit).
Beware.

Just more insult to injury for KCMO to stand in WL to target residents on a short downhill stretch coming out of WL onto a new piece of over 3 years and counting of road construction.
Don't like the speed limit on Barry but it is what it is. When I hit the 25 mile per hour zone, I go 25 - 30 miles per hour. (Have been burnt before in one of these construction zones. Have learned my lesson.) There is always, repeat always, a back up of cars behind me. I've dealt with cars riding my bumper and one was flashing his lights at me. I'm wondering where radar is. Police could make a pretty penny in this area. Next time anyone is following a car doing the speed limit, give them a break. They may be saving you from a ticket.
Agree with speeding tailgaters issue, it is a problem, and because princess goes the speed limit it is a little stressful for a teen driver. Wait til Barry is complete-the need for speed will be something else- ironic because a big reason for the Barry makeover was that it was "dangerous".
Currently if you proceed south on Amity to Barry it is 40mph and as you turn west on Barry it is...you be the judge, no signs. The other side of Barry going east from Hillside has a 25 sign... So the answer is 25... Or at least that is what our motorcycle buddy with radar gun in hand is saying.
Well the speed limit is a matter that mainly not applied by the teen age drivers ,
But indeed its an issue where everyone has an eye on it .
