The Official Unofficial Minutes of the WL BOA

George recited a litany of problems the City has experienced with its two diesel trucks of 08 vintage. He mentioned the cost of diesel vs gas and the cost of oil changes as example of the high cost of the trucks (not mentioned but probably just as important were two costly incidents of wrong fuel and water in the fuel).
A private buyer (Paradise Landscape) has stepped forward and made an offer to buy one of the trucks for $30,000. The idea is to sell the truck and buy a new one (gas not diesel) costing the City $12,640 in addition to the proceeds from the sale. Mary asked if this was in the budget, Jerry responded, "not specifically, I think we can figure it out". "We could sit all day and talk about bad diesels".
Mary moved to authorize the sale of the truck, motion passed.

How can you spend money that is not allocated in the budget for a truck and in addition not go thru the bid process and as to the question of Gary's radios...not spend the money money allocated for them. FISHY !!!!!
You have to remember, Jerry doesn't think any of the rules pertain to him. After all, he was a CFO, he is above all rules and regulations. Does illegal cheddar cheese futures trading come to mind? Weatherby Lake deserves the representation it gets.
Hey Mike, you're an insider, help me out. I told a friend about the truck sale. He is a contractor who might have been interested in buying the truck, how do we find out about this stuff or is the public not invited?
