Correction to info I posted under "Fee with Lipstick"
There will be no fee when a current member buys property from another member. The rest of the post is correct. I'm not sure what percent member to member transactions are, but my guess it is relatively small compared to the number of purchases made by "outsiders" moving into the community.

It does not matter. With the current state of the economy, very few houses are going to sell anyway.
Does anyone have statistics on how many homes have sold in WL in the last six months? I did see one house under contract recently.
Two Houses on the west side of the
lake in the last thirty days.
Well not to excuse Paul at all, but now I can see why he might be bothered by this fee. I was under the impression that it was only for new houses. That this fee had nothing to do with houses that were already here. Really if we have already been paying the fees we aren't able to charge someone buying our house our fair share of what we have paid, so why should the WLIC be able to charge again for it. Isn't that like double jepordy. The fee has already been paid by you and me for our houses fair share, but now a new person will again be charged for our houses share. Interesting
Why should it bother you or Paul?
Why wont he run for the board and explain his viewpoints to our membership.
He continues wasting more in court than the fees we are going to collect. He has made a hobby of opposing any and all fees. The result is we have less money to make the best place to live even better. New people will pay for the investments we make in our biggest asset. The Lake
Dont forget Paul worked with developers to help them escape being held responsible for the damages they did.
Most of the people buying homes here dont think like Paul they know a good thing when they see it.

I suggest you read some of the other comments under the prior post "A fee with Lipstick". I don't think anyone is asking new members to pay in everything we've all paid in before. For some of us who lived here a long time that $2000 wouldnt touch what we've paid. But read the other comments, it might give you a different perspective.
