A couple of factual corrections. First of all, the fundraising scheme is a "concept only" at this stage and not final, including the dollars associated with it. Secondly, the "Jewels of the Northland" is what is often referred to as Weatherby Lake. The fundrasing scheme has been named "The Jewels of the Lake". That is what I took away from the meetings.
Do you get a diamond, ruby, emerald, . . . ? I don't follow was the purpose/concept of the different levels.
And WHY is this even important, having extremely expensive entrances? IF you want a "jewel" fundraise to rehab C-Point and put a big new party pavilion on it, now that would be worth $450,000. People's homes are not worth that much and you want members to come up with these donations when there is enough silt in several coves that my engine slugs and we must be getting close to needing a dredge?? You old people need to get a grip.
