The Official Unofficial Minutes of the WL BOA

Police Report
Chief Gary reported very busy month, including two stops for speeding that turned out to be arrests because of outstanding warrants. Neither were WL residents. This has been a continuing trend starting last year. Stops that turn into arrests tie up the officer for some time. Makes you wonder if our tickets recover any portion of the amount of time/money spent. Could it be a revenue/budget issue to explore? A question one of the aldermen might want to check out.

If it was trespassing...maybe they saw the new entrance signs and decided it looked like a nice place to take a dip?

Maybe they saw the entrance markers and thought it was a cemetery then drove in looking to pay their respects!
