Fish Consumption Advisory for Weatherby Lake , Catfish Alert

A catfish and a black bass from Weatherby Lake were recently tested for chemical contaminants. Preliminary results indicated an above normal level of some chemicals in the catfish. Further testing will be done this spring with results expected in May or June. Until those results are received, the WLIC is recommending the following cautionary action: Catfish consumption should be limited to 1 meal (an 8 oz. serving) per month.
The black bass test results were within published guidelines. The current guidelines mentioned below continue to be appropriate for bass and walleyes.
As has been communicated for the past several years, all WLIC Members are encouraged to follow the fish advisories from the State of Missouri .

I was wondering why the fish at the last fry tasted so good, must have been the chemicals!
oops, so much for all you can eat catfish.
My guess is that the chemical levels are probably the same in the lake, but the low water level increases the concentration?
