WL Board of Aldermen
2 June
Finance
- The BOA passed a resolution moving a majority of the City's banking business, including checking to UMB. Very little discussion by the Board.
- Jerry proposed the move, stating "we want a stronger bank" and "there is reason to believe alot of banks have serious long term issues like Liberty Bank" but then stated he was not aware of any current problems with Liberty. Jerry felt there were problems with our current bank, stating, "I don't know who they are" referring to the securities backing our deposits over $250,000. Construction, Debt Service and Park Board are staying at Liberty, all under the FDIC maximum.
