At Least The Weather Was Nice

2nd week running, high school football was the best bet as witnessed by the Park Hill/South game Friday night.  I am a homer for Park Hill, nonetheless, despite the loss, I thought it was an entertaining game (it was even on TV).  Mizzou...ouch and the Chiefs...no comment.

Speaking of Charlie Weis, Florida is gushing over his "demeanor and play calling" as the new offensive coordinator for the Gators (noted in the Memphis Commercial Appeal).  "He's very calm.  If something bad happens, like he preaches to me (Gator QB Brantley) you just go to the next play".  Indeed.

Bye Todd you need to be fired

"Every victory is sweet in the NFL, of course, where fortunes can shift in a heartbeat. But it was surely gratifying for Gailey to get back at Haley, a man who stripped him of the job for which he is best suited in life: calling the offensive plays.

Gailey didn't just beat Haley, he beat the pants off him. He and his assistant coaches made their Kansas City counterparts look like amateurs, outfoxing them in all three major phases of football: offense, defense and special teams."
