PUBLIC NOTICE
The Board of Aldermen for the City of Weatherby Lake will hold two work sessions on August 24, 2010 to interview Piper Jaffary at 2:00 pm and UMB Bank at 3:15 pm for the purposes of refinancing the City of Weatherby Lake’s General Obligation Bonds. The Work Sessions will be held at The City of Weatherby Lake , Town Hall, 7200 NW Eastside Drive , Weatherby Lake , Missouri .
Public Hearing
There will be a public hearing before the Board of Aldermen of the City of Weatherby Lake at Town Hall, 7200 NW Eastside Drive, Platte County, Weatherby Lake, Missouri at 4:30 pm on August 24, 2010 at which time the citizens may be heard on the property tax rate proposed to be set by the City of Weatherby Lake for the 2010 tax year.

what's the difference? york and moratz did the same thing. why is not acceptable now, moratz? were you being arrogant when you and york did the same? i guess we know for sure now.

Here is the difference. During my service on the Board (and Committees) I have been a staunch advocate of meetings in the evenings and not during what most people consider business hours. (I know there are folks who work 2nd/3rd shift too) The minutes, and those who attended these meetings will attest to this.
If you had been a keen observer during that period you would know that almost all my alderman colleagues had full time jobs. Compare to the current crew...hmmm. There were exceptions back then, for instance Mr Henderson...retired. Nothing wrong with being retired, what I think is wrong is scheduling public meetings when the working public cannot possibly attend.
Arrogant? Ok if it makes you feel better, let's call it insensitive.
