Here is the scoop from the Police report as presented by Gary and Mike O'Neal.

• O'Neal appeared again before the BOA in support of the "Resolution for Regional Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan". (This is the plan the aldermen needed more time to review at last meeting)  After brief discussion it passed 4-0.  Mike also raised the issue of a need for an emergency action plan for the lake dam, he is working with WLIC. This would be part of a "Flood Mitigation Plan" for the City...the BOA gave the green light for Mike to respond to a Notice of Interest due by the 23rd of July to the County.  {Kudos to Mike, his involvement at the County level has benefited WL greatly} 
• Gary requested approval of reciprocal commissions with Lake Waukomis.  Apparently the election of a new marshal there (Massock) caused resignations of most of thier police force, causing the need for an updated list.  Hackman from WL works there occasionally part-time.
• Gary requested the BOA accept the resignation of officer Shaun Holbrook.  Vic asked Gary, "why did he leave?"  Gary, after a pause, replied, "He needed to go somewhere else"  Based on that response it is my guess officer Holbrook did not leave with a smile on his face.  No other questions or comments by aldermen.
