April 2nd

Just because there are no contested in WL does not mean you should stay away from the polls.  The KC Star Northland Neighborhood News section has a review of candidates for the Park Hill School District Board.  Two WL citizens are running, Todd Burr, an incumbent for a two year term, and Jeff Goodwin a challenger for a three year term (small Star mistake in print, it notes Jeff is currently on the board in his bio, he is not).

A measure renewing the 3/8 cent sales tax for roads (Platte County) is up for a vote.  If you follow WLAISI, you know I virtually never use all caps (besides what I just keyboarded)...anyway, VOTE YES FOR THE ROAD TAX.  Without it we will be in dire shape when it comes to road work in the City.  If the School Board election doesn't energize you, then just come to vote for continuing the road tax.

That is all.

Didn't board recently appoint to fill a vacancy? I thought it was Goodwin?
