Quote from the Mayor in regards to scheduling of meetings. It has been an issue from time to time, especially when a working citizen from WL wants to observe the the BOA or a Committee in action. The early morning meeting of the EAG last week is an example, and the discussion about a work session to discuss 2014 budget to be held at 1:30 PM on the 25th. Forget about scrutiny from the public, Jerry is just fine with the vale of anonymity obtained by meetings during the work day...but then again, as he says, "us retired guys don't care".

I agree, meetings should be made available to everyone. But how many "working" people would be showing up?
Wonder if we video taped them like Parkville and posted them on the website, would it prompt the community to be more involved? Not that your website isn't a good resource. But, sometimes seeing/hearing things firsthand might get people to act.
We have a local who had a history of video taping meetings
Video the meeting and post them all via You Tube and link on the city web site. Simple. Do it with all city meetings. Simple to do! Then everyone can see what is happening with our city.
