New 15 MPH Speed Limit In City

The Official Unofficial Minutes of the WL BOA
1 September Meeting

Sometimes ya just gotta laugh. During the Police Report Alderman Vic questioned Chief Gary on the number of speeding citations in July. Turns out there were only 9 speeding tickets for the entire month. Vic asked why, and the somewhat perplexed Chief replied, "I can't tell you, if they're not there, they're not there". Half of the audience (the three ladies in the front row) began to giggle. When called out by the Chief, one of the women explained why the guffaws. Seems one of them suggested to her friends the City should simply lower the speed limit to 15 MPH. That would increase the number of miscreants...right?

Sometimes ya just gotta laugh.

I would love to see enforcement of the Speed Limit in our

"NO WAKE ZONES"

Folks I know you are in a hurry to relax but the speed limit of under 25 MPH is on land

It seems the WLIC no longer cares about speed as it is obvious a lot of members just dont know or care about the rules or the reason you need to back down from full throttle /full speed in the coves

Closure of the Barry Rd. Bridge has probably stopped all but just the very necessary traffic through the lake.

Regarding 9:22am

Closure of Barry Road bridge has inceased the traffic on Eastside and Westside. The cut throughs of the morning and evening.
Five years is a long time to wait for this construction to be finished.

Let's just ban all cars from the city. That way every time one comes through we could collect!

The reason the entrance monuments are so costly could be that they will have a toll gate for non residents

Why stop at 15 MPH why not just lower the limit to 5 MPH. Then you could get the turtles and deer that cross the road too.. Perhaps they can pay up too. Seriously, our city (Alderman Vic) has nothing better to worry about than the fact that we DON'T have people breaking the law?!? Seriously that is INSANE.. Shall we post a sign outside the city saying we are looking for speeder?? Might get us some more business!
