Be Careful What You Wish For

The brewing brouhaha concerning the new appraisals and assessments in WL is quite simple really.  It's all Jerry's fault...and the EAC (Entrance Advisory Committee).  Remember they promised the new entrance monuments would increase property values...shazaam!  And to think they are only half finished.   Maybe a more understated approach would have kept WL under the radar....nah.  Oh the agony.

The BOA was delayed until next Tuesday because of the election, so...the BOA next Tuesday should be very interesting.  The coronation of the newly elected and the hand wringing over the appraisals begins then..  So far the biggest appraisal increase I have heard is north of 70%.  Yikes, the WL Chamber of Commerce must be sweating this one out.

High rollers like Bos could care less, they have the buckos to cover the tax increase...others not so much.

Wonder if our new Commissioner got wind of this? I know it doesn't go through her, but I would think she would be connected with all the right people in Platte City

Come on . . . the signs were the catalyst for reappraisals . . . ridiculous . . . that's scraping the bottom of the barrel for anti-BOA propaganda.

757pm - you have to admit, Jerry and crew promised these entry signs would increase our property values. Have they ever delivered, in a BIG way!

Gerald Bos will pay a $12 million civil monetary penalty for attempting to manipulate the Class III milk futures contract and exceeding speculative position limits in that contract.
