Zebras Discovered in WL

Inside info has it the WLIC is preparing a communication to the membership announcing the verification that the dreaded Zebra Mussels have arrived @ WL.  The exact source of the infestation is unknown, however, one the the Board members, (she asked her identity remain anonymous) feels sure one of the little buggers was attached to someone's bottom.  More to follow.

April Fools Day joke?

If not, was it a boat which goes to other lake waters?

Course it was a joke. BUT - you need to be aware of the toothless policies of the WLIC regarding Zebra Mussels. At least 5 transgressions this year reported to the WLIC office concerning potential infestations. Latest was someone fishing under Barry Road bridge - WLIC says put back fish and be a good boy - don't do it again. Other reports include someone fishing in MO river (infested) and then coming to WL, Fishing boats launched and leaving ramp unlocked, fishing boat in other waters and then left (unsterilized) to be launched into WL, fisherman launching boat without current WL stickers (who knows where it was before). Anyone see any fines? Let's try - NOOOO.
