Slow weekend for WL stuff, but more Hoy signs appeared, always an opportunity for Signtology students to work on extra credit. Early on Mary adopted the moniker "Alderperson", from her perspective I guess being more politically correct. (Interesting because a year ago she voiced concerns about adding more women to boards and commissions to give "balance"...guess Alderwoman would have been better than Alderperson.) Anyway, gender bending aside, Mary seems to have had a change of heart. Her campaign signs now proclaim she is running for "Alderman", atta girl/boy? The A Hoy, A Hoy is surely a subliminal signal for members of the WLYC to vote early and often. And of course for backers of Mary's efforts on behalf of the Community Center, the color green on the signs can mean only one thing, mo money!
201 students will recognize sign placement (or not) as crucial. Some of the usual suspects in sign placement, the good news is putting a sign in the yard this year won't step on toes of friends and neighbors because no one else is running. Carol obviously feels if one is good, two is better as her yard proudly displays two Hoy signs. Top that? Class dismissed.

Maybe the alder person can work on getting us a grant, as she promised in her last campaign. Henderson signs were green also, I believe. I have just missed so much while I was away.
