Friday the 13th
Never interested me to go see the "Friday the 13th" movie series, I think the premise is always about the same, some guy eventually jumps out of a closet with an ax and commits mayhem. And he never seems to go away. The WLIC version continues tomorrow at 9AM at the county courthouse where our nightmare continues...gets old doesn't it? You can be assured I would attend and blog the results of the hearing, but, I am out of town all this week. I'm guessing quite a few folks will attend tomorrow, including some faithful blogites...I'd love to have some field correspondents check in. Any takers? I'm going to leave an open post for the event, after the meeting post your comment. Thanks.

Excellent analogy. Paul is our Jason.
Nothing seems to stop him. Every time he seems defeated (as he has been several times) he somehow comes back again and again and again.
Even when the Judge chastised him for not getting along with his neighbors after one of the previous trials he ignores him and everything else but his own personal agendas...and at our expense.
Pat Medill is another Jason. Hard to believe we have an election coming up and she has not spread her lies about the candidates.
All the people running for office must be "yes" people for Medill or she would be accusing them of illegal activities so people will not vote for them.
Pat Medill is NOT "another Jason". You obviously either do not live here or are not paying much attention. She does a lot of good for this community, which is more than can be said for a lot of people. Seems to me the only reason you have not heard anything bad about anyone running is that NO ONE filed except Mary Hoy. She has proved herself so nothing more needs to be said. Perfect!
True, Mary is the only one running, but that doesn't necessarily equate to having "proved herself".
And that is not what was said. Just that she is running and that in the last 2 years she has proved herself!
There's that "proved herself" line....again.
How has Mary Hoy proved herself? With no one wanting to run or run against her, she's simply going to be back in office by default whether she did a good job or not over the last two years.
Proving oneself can be seen as positive or negative...that was the intent. She has proved herself. You can either like what she has done or not but she has proved herself. Therefore, she does not need anyone to speak on her behalf as she is a "known" in terms of expectations.
From that explanation, you're right. She has proved herself.
