A pair of bettas spawning under a bubble nest....Image via Wikipedia

From a Fishing Club email:
"Dave and I  put out 20 Fish habitate spawning tubs in a few areas, when the water comes back up by next spring they should be in the right depth of water, we will check them out and if the fish are using them we will add more next year,  Also we are building 4 Fish cleaning tables, made out of Stainless steel counter tops and will be putting them in 4 access areas, new 1 at C-Point when its finished and 1 at O-cove, K-cove and W-1 cove, all have water and electricity close to them, I want to thank Mike Yager, Buzz Wassenberger and Tom Henke for helping get all the materials and building them for this project."

I don't know what a spawning tub is, but this TV ad came to mind.

I don't know how Mike missed the merger of the Fishing Club and WLIC, their new name being WLFIC, Weatherby Lake Fishing Improvement Company.

It's small but wonderful additions like these that over time really do improve the quality of our community. Last time I had new company to the lake, someone said, "wow! you have public grills to use? That's great!"

It's the little things that make such a difference.
