They should have picked up one at city hall and planted it at Barry and Eastside.

Problem solved.

It continues to be beyond my understanding why people are being asked to donate to the Barry/Eastside sign as the money was there at one point. Instead of people on this blog calling the sign committee idiots – surely there is a logical explanation why the funds were not retained for the Barry/Eastside sign. Could someone step forward and just give an explanation?

Yes, it was used to pay the contractor to draw the plans and then to downsize the plans, the first plans was to expensive.
Also they want to broaden their scope to include all of Weatherby Lake to donate moneys, know that they have milked all the rich ones.

Will there be a monument at the bean field? It’s such a lovely piece of real estate. I am still awed at the amazing forethought of the folks responsible for the decision to purchase such a valuable piece of property at such a low price. Maybe we'll get it paid for eventually. Surely it is deserving of a monument so everyone knows it is a part of Weatherby Lake. If there are no plans for a monument we should ask for donations!

Lets ask for donations to pay off the water tower.

When did the city get turned in to a entity dependent on donations?
