Walking Dead

One of the issues on Mayor Botbyl's agenda is to "re-energize" the EAG.  Being polite.  A more accurate assessment might be the project is, at best, on life support.  The EAG is actually having a meeting this coming Monday, the 12th at 8:30...AM City Hall.  I imagine folks like Mayor Botbyl who have full time jobs will find it difficult to attend.

(An aside...I have consistently criticized past BOA's, and Committees that conduct "open public meetings" when much of the public cannot attend, kind of defeats the purpose doesn't it?)

One of the agenda items for the meeting is approval of the minutes from the last EAG meeting...June 4, 2013.  During that meeting, Ron Surma and Jerry Bos were elected co-chairmen of fund raising.  BTW, the current balance for the EAG fund is $21,043.  So what have they done in the past year?  The results speak for themselves.  The BOA, in my opinion is complicit as well.  A question now and again about the status of the project would show interest from an alderman but...none.  Just a citizen in the audience asking the same question each BOA meeting he attends..."Is there an EAG report?"

Really.

What a huge failure of leadership on Bos part, he got his tax write off and now he walks off with the project half done, life is great at weatherby lake, aint' it?

as I recall, most of the donors where high rollers from the East side, Welch, Pierce, Bos and others. Why would anyone think they would allow the West monuments to be built before the east was complete?

There were a couple of biggies from the West - Grasis and Jim Miller. Wonder what they think about Jerry leaving out the Westside? 549 - You are so on target.
