Image by huntingdesigns via FlickrComing around the turn on the "hairpin" the other night and came head on into a buck...in the middle of the road. Luckily I was going slow...he looked at me, not the least bit afraid, and bounded into WestRidge...joining his girl friends I assume. No worries right?
I was at a Christmas party this past week, conversation drifted into wildlife (ok, clean it up). A couple owns some property in the Smithville area and sure enough the mountain lion caught in the photos in the news had been seen in their back 40. One of the lion's favorite snacks? Deer, and there are plenty of them in their area. Ah the great circle of life.
