Exception, Not The Rule?

Is the white pick-up truck, noted yesterday, an exception to an otherwise pristine community?  Nope.  Plenty of examples of unlicensed trailers in the right of way/boats in the right of way and even a couple more unlicensed/no sticker vehicles in driveways...all you have to do is look...but apparently no one is looking...unless you are a prospective home buyer.  Deal breaker?  Maybe not unless it is in your neighborhood.

The vacant house next to me already has grass up to my, well you know. Mike, how long does the grass have to be before something is done?

We call neighbors whose cars, boats, trailers overflow on other’s properties or city right away, cuts across yards or uses other’s property as if it’s their own or uses other’s docks without permission – Jackdaws.

A Jackdaw is a covetous but very social bird who confiscates property and will take over other bird’s nests.

The interesting thing about the Jackdaw neighbor is they think they are entitled – what’s yours is mine. Any neighbor who buys into this behavior is considered by the Jackdaw as good neighbor. Any neighbor who doesn’t is the bad neighbor.

Tall grass, trash, neglected autos, etc. is nothing other than lack of respect for one's neighbors.
