American Airlines said that long lines at Transportation Security
Administration checkpoints last month caused 1,000 passengers to miss
its flights at Chicago O'Hare International Airport. The TSA has cut
nationwide checkpoint staffing 10% over the past three years, wrongly
predicting a surge in PreCheck program enrollment.
