Meeting of the Minds

Thanks to the Anonymous heads up..There will be a press conference on/at the BRB tomorrow (Friday). Those attending will be Mayors Funkhouser and Bos, as well as others. If you have the time and interest it might be worth attending. Wonder if Mayor Bos will bring up the poo spill (by KCMO) in North Cove? They might even be able to get a whiff. Between the BRB closing and the spill we have taken our ration of excrement for the month...right?

Mike, you are always quoting Mary Hoy's emails which I guess are predominantly directed to the Westside residents? Why doesn't Mary Hoy just send it to everyone? Or why doesn't our Eastside alderwomen send one out? Would have no idea about what was going on if it wasn't for you. Thanks.

I also hope we take this opportunity to go from the bridge and show Mayor Funk their pumping station that just sent 40,000 gallons of his city's raw sewage into our lake (free souvenirs available), the Peret property and the bean field. All critical issues that need KC's cooperation to keep our lake clean.

I agree with Scott and add one more thought. The construction of Barry Road, however long it takes, will be a monumental challenge to prevent silt and pollution from entering our lake. I don't think it can be overstated. Is Kansas City up to the task? The dialog should start today.
