West siders who have been using Beech (I am one of them) off Barry know this already...earlier this week Beech was closed to traffic. It is unclear whether this is temporary due to utility work or closed for good... residents on Beech have been notified by KCMO that Beech is becoming a cul de sac. Barry is going to be widened at that point making it impossible to have a feeder there due to the steep cut in the bank. That bank, facing WL residents on Barry was supposed to be a big, plain, ugly cement wall. York had been negotiating with KCMO for a textured wall, not sure where that ended up, I haven't seen the cooperative agreement that might give the details.
Good news, less than 700 days to the new Barry Road.
