Ready or Not

Christmas season is upon us, I've already seen a few homes that have "upgraded" their outdoor displays. If you didn't put yours up in the last month you may have missed the primo time to string the lights unless you were in Denver this past few days. The temp almost hit 70 on Friday...contradiction to the view with snow capped mountains. Our first family road trip to Denver for the holiday, straight shot on I70, please pass the NoDoz. I was impressed by the sight of the wind farm outside of Ellsworth, KS. One WL citizen has actually explored the idea of his own wind tower in his back yard. Not sure if the idea can escape the "nuisance law" posted in the City.

Seeing your photo of the windmills made me hopeful that the city will look into generating some of our own homegrown electricity. The city of Rockport is the only town in Missouri that I know of that has undertaken this, but may be worth pursuing. What electricity we don't use can be sold back to "the grid", which we would be less dependent upon. Since our skyline is already interrupted by the watertower, perhaps we could locate one there. But I know a mighty wind blows across the dam. Maybe that would be a better place to locate one. "Locally grown; locally owned."

I'd donate to this vs. to an entrance. Out there, but serves a purpose.

It would be even more efficent and less costly to harness all the hot wind coming from our members who are opposed to everything and anything

Better them blowing in the wind vs blowing our money in court
