Stree Naming Committee

In the northwest Conference Room on the 16th Floor of City Hall, 414 E 12th Street, Kansas City, Missouri, the Street Naming Committee will hold a meeting on Thursday, September 23, 2010, commencing at 2:00 P. M. to consider the following matters.  You may contact the City Planning and Development Department at (816) 513-2846 for further information.

Sorry I didn't post this in time for you to attend.  But I did want to show you other cities have some cuckoo committees as well. Pssst, do not tell Jerry about this, last time I looked we didn't have a Street Naming Committee.

I would like to see a committee to name the new Barry Road Bridge The Neville Chamberlain Bridge might be appropriate

On bridge naming I was very pleased to read about the re- naming naming the Paseo Bridge to the Kit Bond bridge and recognizing an aging dinosaur that needed to be replaced

Kit spoke at the ceremony on his role in “ helping “to get an additional $50 million for the bridge project. The money came from the Stimulus package he voted against.

When asked he voted against the stimulus package Bond said, "It stimulates debt, it stimulates growth of federal government, but it doesn't stimulate the economy to create jobs."

It stimulates Kit to talk out of both sides of his mouth
