West Side Woes To Continue

The Official Unofficial Minutes of the WL BOA7 September

What Was Not Discussed @ BOA, Updates on Barry Rd, East, West and In Between

The interest level regarding the project has evidently waned, neither Jerry nor the BOA had questions/comments on the status.  As reported here, the bid opening for Barry Road from Potomac to Chariton was held two weeks ago.  Via a reliable source here are the results:
  • The $3.1 million project will have three phases
  • Phase 1 will begin in 30 to 45 days, Barry will be closed West of West Side to the east side of Arcola.
  • Phase 2 will begin in the "Spring" of 2011, Barry will be closed from the KCMO connection (if it is done) just east of  Potomac to West Side.
  • Phase 3 will begin presumably after school finishes in May and complete the project to Chariton with the entire project closing Barry from Potomac to Chariton for completion.
  • Jerry's wish to have PC pay/or copay for an upgraded water line isn't going to happen.
Waiting for the other shoe to drop?  The timing of Amity as well as Barry east of East Side is not known.  For more information call Jerry or your alderman.

Thanks Mike, at least I know where I can get information. It seems the City and WLIC aren't interested in keeping us informed.

You are assuming that the City fathers and mothers and the WLIC are in the 'in-the-know' loop. They don't know nor do they care. That is very obvious.

I recognize that street sign!

There is one by City Hall the Barry Road Bridge and Stinky Cove

It warns of leaders ahead shoveling same old happy horseshit
