Rent A Wreck
You might be aware that WL was recently noted as one of the Top Five Communities in MO (#5 to be exact). A curious mind wondered what it takes to move up the food chain and he (not me) inquired regarding that question. Apparently a major factor in limiting our quest for the #1 spot was the number of rental homes @ WL...37 to be exact. Could that be? We have two homes across the street from us that are rental properties. Both have had turnover in occupants multiple times and varying degrees of yard and outside maintenance. Both have had what appeared to be a posse of folks living there. Are the increase in rental properties an issue at WL? If so, what can, should be done?

Nothing can be done when it comes to rental homes. Rentals are ubiquitous. For those who are looking to buy a home in today's market, buy a home you can afford and then your home won't be foreclosed on by Freddie, Fannie, BofA, etc.
Don't like tall lawns? Call the Police. We have laws that govern lawn maintenance. The problem is our diligent police don't enforce said ordinances. By the way Mike, how did you figure out your number of rentals in WL?
good question, I didn't calculate the rental number, the individual I talked with called the organization who did the survey, or so he says. I can see 4 rentals from my mailbox, so 37 might be a fairly accurate number.

We could adopt a city government similar to the old USSR. Then we could limit who lives here and who rents here based on their race, religion, income, sexual preference, number of children, type pets, the way they cut their hair, whether they tatoos, etc. We could forbid homeowners to do what they wish with their own property that they paid for with their own money. We could decide for them what is right and proper! If they don't conform to our way of doing things or what we perceive as being a good neighbor we could set the Gestapo upon them! We could set up a board similar to Obama's death panels and that board could decide how many rental propertys we should have and which homeowners would be allowed to rent their property's and which ones would not be allowed to. That would be a great system. That would solve the problem!

Problem is you get your "facts" from Todd Akin ,Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman.
You know the same people would forbid women to do what they wish with their own body
They almost could have decided for others what is right and proper! If we don't conform to their way of doing things or what they perceive as being good we could set the Gestapo using vaginal probes upon them!
