If a few citizens want to build an unneeded sign, more power to them. That doesn't excuse the misappropriation of Barry/Eastside sign funds nor should anyone expect the rest of WL to follow suit. Interesting to note: Don’t see any of the aldermen names on the list considering the appeal for contributions. If I’ve got it right, an alderman’s compensation per month is $200? $200 per month times 1 alderman for 2 years is almost 5K. What not put it toward the bizarre –serves-no-apparent-needed-purpose sign fund.

Hit a nerve 6:11? $100 or $200 a month, big deal, what difference does it make? The aldermen are obviously not making any notable contributions yet have no problem asking for monies.

The republican versions Warren Buffetts of Weatherby Lake

If you have it pay it voluntarily

I myself think everybody should pay for it in taxes
